Last June 10, the Department of Education (DepEd) held a Partners’ Appreciation Event to give thanks to their partners who have helped the Department in narrowing down the educational requirement gaps in the Philippines.
In an invitation signed by Partnerships and External Linkages Undersecretary Mario Deriquito, DepEd gathered their valued partners from different sectors in the Meralco Multi-Purpose Hall in Pasig City and awarded them Certificates of Appreciation for their respective contribution and collaborative efforts in uplifting education in the country.
DepEd Secretary Br. Armin Luistro FSC personally extended his gratitude to the companies, corporations, and organizations for their support in the field of basic education.
As one of the Department’s partners, Cosmotech Philippines, Inc. joined the special occasion.
The various partners also took part in the Partnerships’ Mapping Workshop held on the same day prior to the awarding.
Life-sized individual maps of the country’s regions decorated the vast walls of the venue. Several small pieces of colored paper each bearing the names of DepEd partners were pasted on the cities and provinces where they have given support to already. This was done to obtain baseline information on the current presence of each DepEd partner across the nation.
Cosmotech has established its presence already in Laguna (Calabarzon), Nueva Ecija (Region 3), and Pasig and Manila (NCR) with its Adopt-a-School initiative called “Tunog ng Kabataan, Ating Pakinggan,” initially implemented last March 2016.
During the mapping, each partner chose new provinces and cities to help as part of DepEd’s goal to bring “Quality Education for All.”
Alongside DepEd and its fellow partners, Cosmotech continues to serve schools and millions of students by actively engaging in its Corporate Social Responsibility in the basic education field.
